In April of 2010 the shareholders passed a resolution to have me register as a Republican. Since then it’s been an interesting path of discovery. I’ve met and Facebook-friended the Chairman of the Oregon Republican Party and shook hands with Reince Preibus (though I had to recently unfollow him on Twitter due to his weird anti-Obama fetish).
As the race started to find the Republican who could defeat Obama in 2012 my hopes were pinned on the intelligent and charismatic Jon Huntsman. I donated to his campaign and proudly sported my “Generation H” coffee mug. When he left the race he took with him my enthusiasm. To put it politely, I find the remaining candidates to be flawed.
So after some thought and internet research I found a community of like-minded Republicans, Republicans for Obama, and now I can proudly sport a new coffee mug.
I want to thank Some Guy, Zoe, and Jamie for helping me build a teleprompter and for Josh who helped so much with the technical work and filming. I don’t think I’ve ever used so many computers at one time.
