My bus this morning almost didn't make it*. Water was flooding in through the back door while we were going through this. *I'm aware this is a bad picture.
this reminds me of my first year there in college, when Prez Clinton declared a national emergency in portland, and downtown was evacuated and sandbags were everywhere, and that hillside by the fred meyer fell down, and the power was out on campus for like 4 days and they had to truck food over from Reed to feed us, and it was FINALS week
From what I hear, Portland is in no danger of losing its Bull Run drinking water cause it'll keep raining, but the warmer, less snowy winters will really fuck up irrigation and cause more intense fires.
it's so intense how everyone in the article is like "I don't get it--where is the water coming from?" and that lady has to explain to them that it's coming from the ocean, from UNDER THE GROUND, and has nothing to do with rainfall. "In one year this property you own is going to be worthless and uninhabitable"
On the plus side, one day soon the state of Florida will literally be under the ocean! that will be good for our country
Obviously I'm being sarcastic but I do hate Florida
I wouldn't be surprised if there were a few weird libertarian atheist climate change deniers out there. Libertarians are WEIRD. Still respect them more than conservatives, I guess. At least they embrace their evilness.

I hope you are all stayin' safe!
FUN!
Fire prevention
Runoff during the dry summer months
Irrigation
Also colder winters + snow help to kill the bark beetle, which is on the rise due to warmer winters:

It was under the bridge over Powell at like 16th.
Indoor. Recess. Ugh.

I just read an article about the rising ocean level and what it's doing to the city of miami and I would describe the article as: harrowing
The state of Florida refuses to acknowledge global warming/rising sea levels- it's just "nuisance flooding" everyone! Don't worry!

An atheist AND a climate-change denier! The rarest of breeds
Flood 'em all and let God sort 'em out and then flood God
