The Department of Safety (DoS) has invited Mike Merrill to join the seven-person selection committee for the Artist In Residence (AIR) program for a period of no less than one year, which is three cycles of the AIR program. Past artists include James Sumner, Marianna Ritchey & Andrew Verne Peterson, Steven Kado, Tom Blood, Alisha Adams, and others.

Three times a year Mike Merrill will take part in the selection process as well as spend some time promoting the program and offering advice in the direction of the program.

I don't get a vote, because I still haven't registered my share, but I think this is a good idea.

I just bought this book which was conceived, and much of the work done during a DoS residency.

Has there been any activity on this project?
  1.
I'm assuming thus project is over as the DoS has ended.

    Oh yeah, good point.

The question, then, is: Was there any activity on this project?

Basically, I just went to KMikeyM.com and picked the most recent vote and wondered if anything had come of it.

There was a vote cast, but the DOS shut down before that AIR program started. It's safe to say I am no longer on the selection committee.
